Blog: Coffee and Great Company

One of my favorite things to do is drink coffee and have a great conversation. Sometimes I have one that is so inspiring I wish I would have recorded it for all to hear. We began to talk about the church and creativity. I shared that it was the Puritan church that shut down the theaters in London in the 16th century, stopping all future play writers and the possibility of more geniuses to develop. When I read this in the current book I am reading, I was disappointed, “It is the church that should be birthing the most creative art, music, movies and books.” I started to share how far along we have come. Creativity has allowed people like me, who aren’t pastors to have a voice. How powerful that is and how much God wants to use that. As we got deeper in to the conversation I knew this is what Imagine, How Creativity Works was talking about. People meeting in coffee shops and talking about ideas, ideas that will lead to insight which can lead to solutions. Maybe it was the relaxing atmosphere or the great company that allowed this conversation to take place. Either way, it got me thinking about my place on the earth.

Perfect Coffee and Perfect Company is blessings!
It really is!
I love having a great conversation in a place like this. All too often, I don’t think we take enough time out of our busy lives to do that and we miss out on one of life’s great pleasures.
Its so true, thats why coffee is so great, it gives us an excuses to stay steal.
The b&w photographs are exceptional! Thank you for sharing from your heart. I had a very unexpected beautiful exchange of thoughts and ideas with two individuals yesterday, with the view of the sea, and now I wish I had taken pictures to try to capture the essence of that time. If you are ever in Fort Lauderdale, you must visit The Pelican Beach Resort…….and have a capuccino, while watching the sea and conversing with friends……it is in these moments that I feel refreshed, encouraged and motivated to continue pursuing my creative passions, which are a reflection of our multi-faceted Creator, Who put in us a desire and talent to share with others those things that ultimately will draw people to Him! Persevere in your work….as He will use what He has placed in you to draw others to Him…..have a blessed day!!!
Oh that sounds lovely, I’d like to experience that. I find being in the right place can spark such beautiful discussions about life. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, its so inspiring to hear others who are passionate about creativity and God.
Sometimes and for some people a perfect coffee will be enough!
Coffee, by far the greatest social lubricant ever! Great post
Indeed, coffee is such a big part of our culture.
Coffee, is it still ordered “black and white?” Wonderful, eye-pleasing composition. You have us looking down into the minute details of what seems a museum for coffee lovers, when suddenly a cup of Dripp is right before our noses. My screen has never smelled so good. Delicious post.
Did you use Photoshop for assimilating the pics ?
The black and white effect gives the image a sexy look.
Thank you so much. I use Lightroom for all my editing. It makes adding filters on photos easy.
