Hi, I stumbled across your blog while researching how to learn video editing. I have looked over your blog quite a bit the last week and am really enjoying all the videos and information you share. It is so nice to see someone who takes delight in the simple things in life (like newborn movements). I LOVE your work and would love to learn how to do something like your Girls AM promos or short videos. I am currently a stay-at-home mom with about five years until my youngest goes to school (just born August 2011) and love tinkering around with my family videos in Windows MovieMaker, but want to learn more and go beyond that program. I would like to learn how I might morph it into freelancing or a job later on. Do you have any advice on how to start? I cannot go to school FT, but I do have a BS. Unfortunately, it is not in anything related. I have a PC laptop, so I had thought that Adobe Premiere and After Effects may be the software to use, but would really appreciate any advice you could give.
